There are several examples of people who point to the left leaning agenda of CC as to why they like the new standards, here are a few:
At the :38 mark David Pook said: “The reason why I helped write the standards and the reason why I am here today is that as a white male in society I am given a lot of privilege that I didn’t earn.”
At the 4:56 mark Phil Daro, one of lead CC math writers said: “And remember that the reason we have standards is because of the social justice agenda..."
6) 6th grade lesson - Revise the outdated Bill of Rights; “Omit two and add two amendments to the Bill of Rights.”
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Debbie Bruick-Jones said, “THE SCHOOL DISTRICT STANDS BY THE 'VERY STRONG ASSIGNMENT' AND CLAIMED THE DETAILS OF THE ASSESSMENT HAVE BEEN MISREPRESENTED....CRITICAL THINKING SKISSL ARE PART OF COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS."
7) The Second Amendment has been re-written in CC approved text books:
"IN A TEXTBOOK APPROVED BY COMMON CORE FOR USE BY STUDENTS STUDYING FOR THE ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) HISTORY EXAM, THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS DEFINED THIS WAY: "THE SECOND AMENDMENT: THE PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS IN A STATE MILITIA."
8) Washoe County School District third grade CC aligned Social Justice Math Homework.
