The Nevada Department of Education (NDE) has taken extreme positions on Common Core, CC TESTING, and PARENT ACCESS TO STUDENT DATA [FOX NEWS VIDEO]. Nevada (NDE) is probably the only state in the country that took the position a parent would have to pay $10,000 to view the data the state is collecting, storing, and sharing on his children. So it is understandable that teachers, who want to keep their job but who oppose CC, are afraid to speak up; however, teachers in other states are stating in writing they are quitting because of CC and CC testing. There is a FACEBOOK PAGE WITH 54,000 MEMBERS (MOSTLY TEACHERS) WHO OPPOSE CC, THERE IS ALSO A NEVADA FACEBOOK PAGE WITH OVER 130 (MOSTLY TEACHERS) WHO OPPOSE CC. Thank you to the brave teachers not afraid to speak up.
